A group focusing on certain aspects of the chemistry of the platinum group metals (PGMs) has been established at the Potchefstroom campus of the North-West University (NWU), which is located in South Africa’s North-West Province, also known locally as the Platinum Province as the majority of the world’s platinum reserves are located and mined here.
