Action plans are implemented in the Faculty of Natural Sciences in order to attain the set equity targets with respect to staff and students.

Pilot an investigation into distance and e-learning processes and practices in natural sciences in order to be able to serve a greater number of students by open and distance learning in future.

Develop new Agricultural Programmes that may be implemented by the Faculty in a cost-effective manner.

Identify and investigate the establishment of two new chairs or centres of expertise.
Monitoring of student progress
Investigate a system for improving the continuous monitoring of student progress and throughput.
Research development of academic staff
Support research development of academic staff by active career planning and by creating opportunities.
The empowerment of researchers; by establishing appropriate research infrastructure.
