Synopsis:
The year 2026 marks the 1st installation of the Pan African Computing Conference (PACC 2026) as an African computing scientists developmental and collaborative driven research, development and innovation (RDI) platform. The Conferences aims to communicate and publish research, development and innovation (RDI) outputs packaged as research and innovation papers, case study papers, and impact study papers focusing how the field of computing is used for the betterment of Africa.
PACC 2026 is scheduled to be co-hosted together with the International Multidisciplinary Information Technology and Engineering Conference (IMITEC 2026) by the Unit for Data Science and Computing, School of Computer Science and Information Systems, Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (FNAS), North-West University (NWU) in partnership with the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FoICT), Tshwane University of Technology (TUT); the South African Research Chair Initiative (SARChI) in Community Antimicrobial Resistance (CAR) and the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) and the University of Venda (UNIVEN) Unit on Antimicrobial Resistance and Global Health Research, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Agriculture (FoSEA), UNIVEN. The endorsement of IMITEC2026 BY Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) covers PACC2026 papers.
Audience:
The following people are expected to be in attendance: Students, academics, researchers, government, and industry professionals. Due to the aim of fostering deep engagement, networking, collaboration and growth of the African computing ecosystem both physical and virtual presentation are highly encouraged. PACC 2026 will be held on 26 to 27 November 2026, at Misty Hills, Muldersdrift, Gauteng Province, South Africa. Join us as we shape Africa’s future through Computing.

Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished papers for possible presentation at the conference. Submissions featuring creative, new, transformative and innovative ideas in the field of Computing that assists humanity (society and business) to traverse digital age are more than welcome. A conference abstract booklet will be produced and distributed during the conference.
