Animal Health

Animal health covers primary health care such as vaccinations, dipping and deworming, but also advanced clinical medical and surgical treatment of sick animals. It is supported by laboratory testing and postmortem service to enhance diagnostic capabilities. The NWU Veterinary hospital caters for companion animals and livestock, plus ambulatory service going to farms. Various other fields exist within the animal health course such as meat inspection, toxicology, microbiology, obstetrics and many more.
