National Symposium on Biological Invasions

We are excited to invite you to attend the 2025 National Symposium on Biological Invasions from 6 to 9 October 2025. This year’s symposium will take place at the North-West University in Mahikeng. We are thankful to North-West University for co-hosting the event with the South African National Biodiversity Institute.
The theme for the symposium is, “Go laola ditlhaselo tsa ditshidi ka go dira ditshwaraganelo tse di tlhabolotsweng sešwa” or “Managing biological invasions through innovative partnerships” We ask for you to please consider the theme when preparing your abstracts and presentations for the symposium. In order to accommodate as many of you as possible we are offering three ways of presenting your research either a five or a ten minutes long presentation, or a poster. You will be able to indicate on your registration form which mode of presentation you would prefer. We will circulate the guidelines for all forms of presentations once the Science Committee has reviewed and selected the successful abstract submissions.
