I am an Associate Professor in Agricultural Economics with experience in teaching, research, and community engagement. My expertise areas include Agricultural Economics, Development Economics, Food security, child poverty, health and nutrition. My research focuses on addressing pressing developmental challenges in South Africa and across Africa, particularly those affecting vulnerable households, children, and rural communities.
My academic contributions reflect strong engagement with multidisciplinary themes, including poverty, food and nutrition security and household welfare. More recently, my research has focused on the application of advanced quantitative and econometric methods to evaluate socio-economic outcomes and welfare dynamics among women and children. Beyond scholarly publication, I am committed to producing policy-relevant research that informs decision-making by governments, development agencies, and other stakeholders, while contributing to sustainable and inclusive development.
