About Prof Strydom:

  • Studied Chemistry at P.U. for C.H.E (Potchefstroom) (1975 – 1977), BSc Honours (1978) and MSc (1980)
  • PhD (Chemistry): 1988 University of Pretoria
  • Senior lecturer, Associate Professor, Full Professor at University of Pretoria until December 2006
  • Full Professor and Director for the School of Chemistry, North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus) from January 2007
  • Full Professor and Director for the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences, North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus) from January 2008. The school includes the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Science Teachers
  • Member of SACNSP, SACI, IUPAC, and various other scientific organizations
  • NRF (South Africa) rated scientist
