Synopsis:

The year 2026 marks the sixth edition of the International Multidisciplinary Information Technology and Engineering Conference (IMITEC) as a dynamic, development-driven, and collaboration-focused research platform. It is scheduled to be hosted by the Unit for Data Science and Computing, School of Computer Science and Information Systems, Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (FNAS), North-West University (NWU), in partnership with Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FoICT) and in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

IMITEC 2026 promises to deliver a high-quality international forum that brings together leading researchers, academics, and industry professionals to explore and discuss cutting-edge research, innovative practices, and emerging trends across a wide spectrum of disciplines. Participants will gain exposure to the latest advancements and ongoing developments in the above interdisciplinary domains. The conference will also provide a platform for the exchange of novel ideas, collaboration opportunities, and knowledge sharing between academia and industry.

IMITEC 2026 is scheduled to take place on 26 to 27 November 2026, at Misty Hills Country Hotel, Conference Centre & Spa, Muldersdrift, Gauteng Province, South Africa. Please join us to create a sustainable living by harnessing and exploiting computing and engineering outcomes for the betterment of the world.

Call for Papers:

Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research for possible presentation at the conference.   • All papers will undergo a double-blind peer review process (as illustrated below) to ensure a high standard of quality and relevance, contributing to engaging and thought-provoking sessions.
  • All accepted and presented papers will be published in IMITEC 2026 proceedings and submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scopes and quality requirements, thereby ensuring global visibility and acceptability.
