About National Science Week (NSW)

National Science Week (NSW) is an annual event aiming to exhibit and communicate awareness in science. It is an initiative of the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI), a countrywide celebration of science involving various stakeholders and role players conducting science-based activities during the week.

Annually, the North-West University's Science Centre at the Faculty for Natural and Agricultural Sciences host various activities accross the NWU's three campuses for NSW. 

The NSW 2021 will take place from 1 – 7 August 2021. This year's theme is "Making it possible through science". 

Specific avtivities, dates and times for activities presented by the NWU are available hereunder per campus.
