FNAS MC SC

Welcome first years of 2021 – A letter from you 2020/2021 SC Chairperson

Greetings first years,

Let me start by congratulating all of you for coming this far with your academic journey. We were all
bombarded with online learning because of this pandemic, and you guys pulled through this difficult
time. Now it’s time for new beginnings: new learning methods, new environment and meeting
different people. You are about to embark on a journey that is filled with excitement accompanied
with challenges. We are excited to have you on our campus and most importantly in our Faculty of
Natural and Agricultural Sciences. The transition from high school to university can be very tough,
but not to worry, we will guide you through the journey this year.
We as the FNAS Student Chapter promises to be there at all times in every challenge you face within
the faculty and beyond. Our goal is to keep you at ease so that you have a smooth academic year by
being a shoulder to carry your academic difficulties. Even though this is an academic institution don’t
forget to make the most out of your student life. We are human after all; our well-being should not
be compromised in the name of academia. However, this should not be a reason to not keep up
with your academics. But rather have a perfect balance between your academics and your personal
life.

I truly hope that you will enjoy your stay in our campus and the warmth in our FNAS family.

Kind regards,
Gontse Tshekedi
FNASSC Chairperson
