Guide to Authors – Abstract Submission
Prepare your abstract using the abstract template and follow the guidelines below.
All abstracts must be submitted online via the conference website.
Submit abstracts as Microsoft Word files (.docx preferred, .doc acceptable).
- Length: Maximum 1 page, including references and illustrations.
- File size: Not larger than 2 MB.
- Note: Submitting an abstract does not constitute conference registration. Please visit the registration page to register.
Formatting instructions
- Font: Arial 11 pt (except title: 14 pt)
- Line spacing: Single
- Paragraph spacing: 6 pt after
- Language: US or UK English
- Figures & tables: Allowed (colour permitted)
- References: ACS style. (See ACS guide). Use tools like Mendeley or EndNote.
- Page setup: 21.59 cm x 27.94 cm (Letter); margins 2.54 cm
- File name: ECAT2026_<PresenterSurname>_<PresenterFirstName>.docx
- Example: ECAT2026_Smith_John.docx
Title & Authors
- Title: Capitalize first letter and proper names; all other letters lower-case.
- Authors: First name initials. Surname. Use superscript letters for affiliations; underline presenting author.
- Affiliations: Institution, country; separate multiple affiliations with semicolons.

Guide to Authors – Poster Presentation
Poster board specifications
Each presenter will be assigned a poster board that fits one A0 poster (84.1 cm x 118.1 cm).
Presenters are responsible for setting up and removing their posters. Necessary materials will be provided.
Design recommendations
- Include all authors and affiliations.
- Design so content is readable from 3 m (10 ft).
- Keep layout neat and uncluttered; use arrows or numbers if needed for flow.
- Include blank space for clarity; ensure images and illustrations are bold and high quality.
Lettering
- Title: Minimum 50 pt
- Subheadings: Minimum 40 pt
- Body text: Minimum 34 pt
- Font: Bold, clean typeface (e.g., Arial, Times New Roman)
References
Use ACS reference style consistently.
General notes
- Abstracts will be available on the website; no handouts required.
- Further details (poster location, setup/removal schedule) will be provided later.
