Abdulaziz Yakubu is a postdoctoral researcher with the Climatology Research Group (CRG) at the North-West University (NWU),  Potchefstroom campus. His focus includes understanding the large and microscale atmospheric processes influencing climate dynamics and their potential impacts on climate change. He is also involved in air quality, pollution studies, and other related climate change research. Abdulaziz holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He also completed his MSc and PhD at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) South Africa in physics, where he worked on understanding aerosol-cloud interaction and the effect on precipitation and surface climate. His interest in climate modelling and prediction is dedicated to helping mitigate vulnerability and ease human suffering.
