Personnel and students from the PaMMEC Lab are involved in the following research themes:

1. Understanding past climate-environmental-ocean change;
2. Understanding modern aquatic environmental change and anthropogenic stressors on the environment, and
3. Plant-Soil-Bedrock interactions (in collaboration with Ricart Boneschans and the GeoEco Lab in the EIER subprogramme).

Research funding is mainly sourced from the National Research Foundation and The Palaeontological Society.
