GeeXpo 2026: Explore, Create, Innovate!
GeeXpo is an annual event where learners from surrounding schools, university students, educators, and industry partners come together to showcase and celebrate innovation in technology, mathematics, and statistical science. The event features competitions, exhibitions, and interactive activities that aim to inspire the next generation of STEM students and professionals.

Hosted by the School of Computer Science and Information Systems in collaboration with the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences.
Tsebonokeng Hall made its debut as the GeeXpo venue in 2025, and we're returning there in 2026. All exhibitions, competitions, and activities are held under one roof, keeping the day easy to navigate from start to finish.

Participate and Win: IT PAT Competition
High school learners in Grades 10 to 12 will present their Practical Assessment Task (PAT) projects, competing for prizes. It's a chance for young programmers and innovators to showcase their creativity and technical skills while gaining recognition beyond the classroom.
Challenge Your Skills: Mathematics Olympiad
Put your problem-solving abilities to the test in a prestigious competition hosted by NWU's School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences. The Olympiad features a Junior and Senior Olympiad, along with the Maths Fun Hour, aimed at promoting a love for mathematics and fostering critical thinking.
Explore Innovation: IT Students Hackathons and Industry Participation
See our final-year NWU IT students showcase real-world projects developed in collaboration with industry partners.
Research to the Rescue: IT Honours’ Research Projects
