GeeXpo 2024: Explore, Create, Innovate!

Join us for GeeXpo 2024, a vibrant technology and innovation exhibition designed for learners, educators, IT students, and professionals from industry.  This year’s event takes place on 12 October 2024, offering an exciting day of activities centred on innovation and collaboration.

At GeeXpo, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in exhibits, talks, and interactive activities designed to inspire and educate.  Whether you’re a high school learner, a university student, or a professional in the field, there’s something for everyone. 

 

Key Attractions:

  • PAT Competition

High school learners from Grades 10 to 12 will present their Practical Assessment Task (PAT) projects, competing for prizes.  This competition is a great chance for aspiring young programmers and innovators to showcase their creativity and technical skills while gaining recognition.

  • Mathematics Olympiad

A prestigious competition focused on testing mathematical problem-solving skills.  This year’s Olympiad features a Junior and Senior Olympiad, along with a fun and engaging Maths Games Hour, aimed at promoting a love for mathematics and fostering critical thinking.

  • Industry Projects and Hackathon

Our 3rd-year IT students will exhibit their projects and participate in a hackathon across multiple categories supported evaluated by industry partners. With industry panels and significant industry presence, this is an ideal opportunity for students to gain valuable insights into the tech industry and network with professionals. The hope is that industry professionals will also use this opportunity to connect with the skills that the students present through their work.

  • Robotics Showcase

Explore the exciting world of robotics through interactive displays and demonstrations.  The robotics showcase will highlight innovate robotics projects offering visitors a glimpse into the future of technology and automation.
