Program and Directions

GeeXpo 2026 brings together learners, educators, university staff and industry partners for a full day of competition, exhibitions and hands-on technology.

Programme

  • 07:30: Check-in opens at the registration desk
  • 08:30: Official opening
  • 09:00: All categories start
    • 09:00 to 13:30: IT PAT demonstrations
    • 09:00 to 12:00: Robotics for Schools
    • 10:00 to 11:00: Mathematics Olympiad
  • 14:00 to 15:00: Prize giving, after which the event concludes

A full schedule, including the PAT demonstrations schedule, will be shared with all registered participants using the cell phone number and email address provided during registration.

The programme also includes Honours Research Project showcases, exhibitions, VR and 3D printer demonstrations, the Maths Fun Hour, interactive fun activities and game tournaments, and industry engagement. Prizes to the value of R60 000, including Takealot vouchers and gifts, can be won across the GeeXpo categories. Lunch and refreshments are provided for all participating learners and teachers.

Directions & Parking Information

The event takes place at Tsebonokeng Hall (Building E2).  Signage will be posted from the main gate entrance all the way to the Hall.

Parking is available in front of the Hall, and security personnel will help facilitate parking.
