Examples of projects in the health sciences in which we have been involved in over the past decade:

•  About 50 bioavailability and bio-equivalence studies for pharmaceutical firms applying for registration of Medicine at regularity authorities.

•  The THUSA Project, together with the School for Physiology and Nutrition of the PU for CHE (this is an RDP-oriented project in the Northwest Province).

•  Stress project of the School for Physiology and Nutrition of the PU vir CHE.

•  VIGHOR Project together with the School for Biokinetics, Recreation and Sports Sciences.

•  Anglo Gold Health Services: Development of data basis of patient information by cleaning the data.  Statistical analysis on the data.

•  Ackermann Laboratories: Analysis of clinical trials where the efficiency of new anti-perspirant products were determined.

•  Bosvet Consultants CC: Analysis of animal trials to determine anti-worm products' efficiency.

•  CSIR Miningtek: Determining the relationship between body temperature and health status of male and female mine workers.

•  Dr. A Gill, Ophthalmologist, Klerksdorp: Relationships between measurements of optical coherence tomography (OCT) of eye diseases.

•  Biozetika Agri-source (Pty)Ltd:  Comparison between two products which enhance milk production in cows.

•  Pikto Designing Engineers CC for Varori International: Comparison of new intravenous infusion system with standard systems.

•  POWIRS-project of Fakulty of Health Sciences: measuring the physiological en  psychological aspects of a  group of women of the North-West Province.

•  Varichem Pharmaceuticals, Harare: the evaluation of clinical and  laboratory outcomes of patients who were administered  with a 3-in-1 fixed dose combination of generic Nevirapine, Lamivudine and Stavudine. A quality control analyses on these products were also done.

•  School of Pharmacy, North-West  University – Senzani clinical trial, where deodorants were compared in subjects.

•  SASOL Technology (PTY) LTD – Industrial physiological study.

•  Pharmacy Board in collaboration with School of Pharmacy, NW University:  Study to determine the activity time of procedures (services) for which pharmacists may levy a fee.
