Travel

Direct flights are available from most large European cities as well as from Atlanta, New York, Singapore and Sydney. Emirates and Qatar also fly to Johannesburg and Cape Town. From Johannesburg there is a direct flight to the Kruger Park (Skukuza Airport) where we will pick attendees up and take them to the lodge (about 3 km away).  If you choose not to fly to the Kruger Park we can arrange to have one of the members of the LOC who are already driving to the Kruger Park to pick you up and drive with them; it is about a 6 hour drive. Once in the Kruger Park, mini busses will be available for travel and sightseeing.

The organisers will cover the cost of accommodation for four nights in Kruger Park (Skukuza Lodge) which includes 3 meals per day as well as tea time snacks. It will also include an early morning organised game drive as well as an evening game drive which end with a bush “braai” (barbecue). Furthermore, cars and mini busses will be available to go for game drives before the start of the programme each day (or whenever delegates want to go out exploring).

Venue

The Skukuza Lodge is located in the Skukuza Rest Camp which is next to a large river where many animals (including elephants, buffalo etc.) often come to drink water. Fantastic views of the river, and the animals that frequent it, are available from the comfort of the lodge area, including the main restaurant which also overlooks the river.

Venue:  Skukuza Safari Lodge

Please be aware that the Kruger National Park is situated in a malaria risk area, with the lowest risk during winter (June, July, and August).

Please consult your health practitioner regarding medication (See https://www.sanparks.org/parks/kruger/tourism/malaria.php).
