The mission of the Centre for Space Research (CSR) is to conduct research and training in astronomy, astrophysics and space science.

The Centre focuses on the understanding of cosmic rays (CRs) through a comprehensive program of observational and theoretical high-energy astrophysics research, the study of the propagation of CRs through intergalactic, interstellar, and interplanetary space, and ultimately their interaction with Earth. |
|
The CSR is an NWU Centre of Excellence, which reflects the quality of the research done over more than 50 years. |
